Step 1 - Listening
Family relationships
You are going to listen to a conversation between Carl and Pancho. They are talking about Pancho’s family. First read the questions:

You are going to read a story about Mary's life.
After that you are going to tell if the following statements are true.

There are many ways to study vocabulary. You can read the words aloud or copy them. The most important rule is never to spend more than 10 minutes studying words. Every minute you spend longer is a waste of time.

Use the following prompts:
Say hello to your friend (think of a name).

Give information about your mother (what does she look like, age, work ?).
Give information about your father (what does he look like, age, work ?).
Tell something about your brothers and/or sisters.
Think of a question you could ask your friend.
Ask your pen pal to write about his/her family.
End your message.
