With these recap lessons, I want to stimulate you to practice tenses before your tests. Becoming better with grammar will help you not only with writing but also with speaking and reading.
On this website, you'll find six lessons on grammar and word order. For each practice, you have your lesson goals, a lesson plan, an explanation, a clip, an exercise, and a deepening exercise.
Before you start with the lessons, I ask you to do the entrance test. With the results of the quiz, you can decide what recap lesson you want to do first and work your way from there.
If the exercises are too easy or too difficult, there are extra practice and challenge-yourself activities for you to do!
When you have done all the lessons, there is a final test waiting for you to make! Do not take the test if you are not ready!
I will also kindly ask you to fill in the evaluation form at the end. I thank you in advance.
Good luck!

We use the present simple when we are talking about facts, habits, or routines. For example:
Fact: Water freezes at zero degrees.
Habit: He drinks tea at breakfast.
Routine: He catches the bus every morning.
When you have she/he/it in the sentence, you get verb (werkwoord) + s. (work becomes works)
when it is I/you/they, it is just the verb. (just work)
How do we use the present simple?
Only with she/he/it, the verb (werkwoord) changes. You have to add an S.

Time: 50 minutes.
Result: A better understanding of asking questions and question tag.
Done: Are you done and there is still some time left? Click on padlett and write down 2 question sentences and 2 question tags.
Explanation
Asking questions
Before you start making a question out of a normal sentence, you have to see if one of the following verbs (werkwoorden) are in the sentence: Am/is/are, was/were, can/could, will/would, or must.
Is one of those words in the sentence, you start your question sentence with that word.
For example:
I am tall. = Am I tall?
When your sentence does not have any of the words, start your question sentence with do, does, or did.
For example:
I take the bus to school every Monday = Do I take the bus to school every Monday?
What about have and has?
There are exceptions to the rules, with for example have and has. When have and has are in the sentence you use do or does.
For example:
She has a new scooter. = Does she have a new scooter?
Has becomes have.
When there is have + voltooid deelwoord, you start your sentence with has or have.
For example:
I have done all the work = have I done all the work?
Question tag
You use question tag to conform a question.
For example:
He was supposed to meet us here, wasn't he?
When there is am, are, is, have, can, should, may, or will in the sentence, you repeat that in your question tag
For example:
I am in the right classroom, aren't I?
If these words are not in the sentence you use do, does, or did.
For example:
She loves dogs, doesn't she?
When your question starts with bevestiging it ends with ontkenning.
When your question starts with ontkenning it ends with bevestiging.
