About the Role

Reporting directly into the Finance Director you will be working in a proactive accounts department and be part of a team who deliver a first class finance function both internally and externally. You’ll find the work interesting whilst rewarding and your key duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Assisting with the preparation of the monthly management accounts
  • Preparation of weekly GP reports
  • Accounts Payable
  • Accurate and timely completion of all ledger activities to trial balance, including control account maintenance
  • Bank reconciliations including Invoice Discounting account
  • Prepare VAT return
  • Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register

About You

You’ll be a natural communicator whilst being someone who is both inquisitive and pro-active in your approach. In addition we expect that the successful candidate will meet all of the criteria below:

  • AAT qualified or equivalent
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience of transactional accounting experience within a commercial business
  • Excellent IT skills/experience including Office and especially Excel
  • Enthusiastic, highly motivated
  • Positive, ‘can do’ approach.
  • Strong prioritisation and organisational skills.
