Getting started
You have just started the theme At home.
You will find different things to watch, to listen to, to read and of course to do.
There are videos, recordings, pictures, photos, texts and assignments.
There are different types of assignments. Some of them you have to do on your own, others you are doing in a group. Je bent begonnen aan het thema At home. In het thema vind je verschillende onderdelen om te kijken, luisteren lezen en natuurlijk om te doen. Er zijn video's, audiofragmenten, afbeeldingen, foto's en oefeningen. Er zijn verschillende soorten oefeningen. Sommige oefeningen doe je alleen, andere oefeningen doe je in een groep.
At the end of those group assignments you are going to discuss the answers in your group. Some assignment will be checked by the computer. Aan het eind van deze oefeningen die je in een groep doet bespreek je de antwoorden in je groep.

Situation
Your school is taking part in an exchange program with a school in England. A student from England is going to stay with you for a month. You think it would be a good idea to write them an email about yourself and your home so the student knows what to expect.
Je school doet mee aan een uitwisselingsproject met een school uit Engeland. Een leerling uit Engeland komt voor een maand bij jou in huis wonen. Het lijkt je een goed idee om hem/haar alvast een mail te schrijven over jezelf en jouw huis zodat de leerling weet wat hij/zij kan verwachten.

Een presentatie geven over een vertrouwd onderwerp
Give a presentation
You are going to give a presentation about your dream house. Je gaat samen met een klasgenoot een presentatie geven over jullie droomhuis.
Together, think of what your dream house would look like. Use your imagination; everything is possible. Verzin samen hoe jullie droomhuis eruit zou zien. Gebruik je fantasie; alles is mogelijk.

What makes your house special. Wat maakt het huis bijzonder.
Make a PowerPoint, Google-presentation or Prezi with illustrations and photo’s to support your presentation. Maak een PowerPoint, Google-presentatie of Prezi met plaatjes of foto’s om je presentatie te ondersteunen.
Make sure your presentation takes 2 to 3 minutes. Zorg ervoor dat de presentatie 2 tot 3 minuten duurt.
Bear in mind that you have to answer two questions about your dreamhouse at the end of your presentation. Houdt er rekening mee dat je aan het eind van de presentatie twee vragen over je droomhuis moet beantwoorden.
Listening to a presentation
Listen carefully when your classmates give their presentations. Luister aandachtig wanneer je klasgenoten hun presentatie geven.
For each presentation, come up with at least one question to ask your classmates Bedenk bij elke presentatie ten minste één vraag om aan je klasgenoten te stellen.
After the presentation two listeners get the chance to ask their question. Na de presentatie krijgen twee luisteraars de kans om hun vraag te stellen.

Situation
Your family is house swapping. You are staying in a house in England. You meet the neighbours. Je doet met je familie mee aan een 'house swap'. Jullie verblijven in een huis in Engeland. Je ontmoet de buren.
Work together with a classmate. Think of at least five questions that you want to ask the neighbor about the following subjects. Write down the questions as well as the answers.
