Hallo brugklassers van HNL,
Op deze website staat het programma voor jullie Engelse lessen via de STERCOLLECTIES.
Als je dit netjes volgt en elke opdracht doet leer je goed Engels.
We zullen bijna altijd instructies in het Engels geven. In het begin is het misschien even wennen maar vraag je docent gerust om uitleg.

WRTS account and revision
You will learn many words this year.
To do this you need a WRTS account. Go to WRTS (Click on the link below)

If you already have an account there you can use that account. Otherwise you must make a new account.
If you need any help: ask a fellow-pupil or your teacher.
Once you have a WRTS account you can use the link below to go to the words for this first Theme.
ALL WRTS for YEAR 1 and YEAR 2
Copy the first five lists to your own account.
This week your revision is:
"Personal A" N-E & E-N.
Next week: "Personal B" N-E & E-N.
The third week: "Personal C" N-E & E-N.
and so on..
Your teacher will tell you which words you will be asked when.
Reading in class
Every third lesson you spend your time reading an English book. There are many books available online. Your teacher will tell you about it. Of course, you can also bring a book to class. Last but not least, choose a book you like. We'll ask you to make notes while reading. So, every week you write a short summary (samenvatting) of the things you've read.
About Testing
Every third lesson some of you will be tested on the words studied so far because it's good for you and us to know if you are on track. You won't be graded on this, but your teacher makes notes of your progress.
At the end of each unit you will do a test on all the items that you have worked on. This test will include some idiom exercises, some grammar and maybe even a listening, reading or writing exercise. Make sure you understand all the grammar that is in the unit. Of course, you can always ask your teacher in one of the final lessons.
If necessary, you can do some extra practice using this SPREADSHEET.
Throughout the year you will also do a number of reading and listening tests.
The tests are done either during the lesson or during the so-called "centraal toetsuur".

Make your own WORKPLAN.
- Klik op deze LINK om je "WORKPLAN" te maken.
- Je ziet nu een SPREADSHEET met de naam "Workplan THEME 1 (naam)".
- Ga naar Bestand > Een kopie maken.
- Geef het gekopiëerde bestand een nieuwe naam: "Workplan Theme 1 (met hier jouw volledige naam (tussen haakjes))" en klik op OK. ("Kopie van" moet je dus weghalen)
- Vul nu in dat spreadsheet alvast je eigen gegevens in (Naam en Klas)

Deel je document met je leerkracht: Klik recht-bovenaan op het blauwe knopje Delen (share) en vul het email adres van je docent in. (spa@hetnieuwelyceum.eu of ben@hetnieuwelyceum.eu of ryd@hetnieuwelyceum.eu)
- Het is nu jouw WORKPLAN voor het eerste thema en je docent kan het nu ook zien.
Make your own READING LOG
- Klik op deze LINK om je "READING LOG" voor het hele jaar te maken.
- Je ziet nu een SPREADSHEET met de naam "Reading Log template".
- Ga naar Bestand > Een kopie maken
- Geef het gekopiëerde bestand een nieuwe naam: Reading Log (met hier (tussen haakjes) jouw volledige naam) en klik op OK.
- Deel dit document met je docent: Klik rects-bovenaan op het blauwe knopje Delen (Share) en vul het email adres van je docent in. (ben@hetnieuwelyceum.eu / ryd@hetnieuwelyceum.eu / spa@hetnieuwelyceum.eu)
- Het is nu jouw READING LOG en je docent kan het ook zien.
Make your own NOTEBOOK for THEME 1
For each THEME you need a NOTEBOOK (een digitaal schrift waarin je opdrachten kunt maken).
Go to your own DRIVE.
Click on "NIEUW"

Choose "Google Documenten"
Click on "Naamloos Document"
Change the title to: Notebook THEME 1 (naam)
Share this document with you teacher:
Click on "DELEN"
Share it with your teacher.
