Did you have a nice Easter vacation? Last Easter, I looked for Easter eggs with my children in the garden.
In this sentence, I use 'looked' to talk about a past event. 'Looked' is the past simple form of 'look'.
When you want to talk about past actions or events, you have to use the Past Simple tense. In this tense, the verb has to be in the Past Simple form.
