You have just started the theme Health and welfare.
You will find different things to watch, to listen to, to read and of course to do.

Project B: Play Doctor

Divide the class into two groups: doctors and patients.
The doctors download the following two documents:

The patients download these two Word documents:

With each condition (= ailment), the patients visit two doctors.
They ask the doctors for advice and possibly a prescription for medication.
Both the doctor and the patient make a note of the visit on the 'Activity Sheet'.

Project C: Feel better soon!

Situation
Your English pen pal ended up in hospital during her vacation in France.
You decide to send her a card.

Write a short message to the patient.

Make sure you write:

  • a get well wish,
  • a tip about things you can do in the hospital,
  • a nice ending.
  • Say you hope you will see each other again soon.

Project D: Enrolling for a new school

Situation
Your family has moved to Virginia in America.
You are looking for a new school. When you have found a new school, you must fill in a health form.

Fill in the form completely.
Make sure you know the name of your doctor and dentist.
If hereditary diseases run in your family, put it on the form.
