Getting started
You have just started the theme Shopping and fashion.
You will find different things to watch, to listen to, to read and of course to do.
There are videos, recordings, pictures, photos, texts and assignments.
There are different types of assignments. Some of them you have to do on your own, others you are doing in a group.
At the end of those group assignments you are going to discuss the answers in your group. Some assignment will be checked by the computer.

Before starting to work your way through this theme, check with a classmate how much you know about shopping and fashion already. Project A: Speaking task - Londen
Je bezoekt Londen. Een klasgenoot vraagt welke metrolijn hij/zij moet nemen om bij de H&M te kunnen komen. Jij hebt deze kaart bij je en legt door middel van de kleuren op de kaart uit, welke lijn je klasgenoot moet pakken. Het startpunt is aangegeven met een kruis. Veel succes!
Tip! Zoek van tevoren moeilijke woorden op en schrijf deze op om je te helpen bij het spreken.
Project B: Writing task - Sollicitatie
Je wilt graag in de vakantie werken in Londen, Engeland. Je komt erachter dat ze bij de Zara/Jack and Jones vakantiehulpen zoeken.
Mensen die geïnteresseerd zijn moeten per mail hun motivatie en CV sturen.
Daarna zal een selectie gemaakt worden.
Kandidaten worden uitgenodigd voor een sollicitatiegesprek.
Opdracht:
Typ een mailtje naar de Zara of de Jack and Jones (wat jij wilt) en verwerk daarin de volgende punten:
- Begin je mail netjes.
- Vertel kort wie je bent (naam, leeftijd, woonplaats, hobby's).
- Leg uit dat je in de zomer graag in Londen wilt werken omdat...
- Leg uit dat je het leuk vindt om met mode en kleding bezig te zijn.
- Vergeet natuurlijk niet te vertellen dat je een aardig woordje Engels spreekt.
- Geef aan dat je hoopt snel iets te horen.
- Sluit je mail netjes af.
Tip: In het Engels spel je Londen anders ( = London).
