Introduction

The subject of this double period is sports facilities.

  • Make groups of three or four.
  • Discuss these questions in English with your group:
    • Do you play any indoor sports? If so, what are they?
    • Have you ever been to a gym? If so, what do you do there?
    • In the USA you are often expected to play a sport in high school. Do you think it would be a good idea to have that in the Netherlands as well? Why (not)?
  • Make a list of 10-15 sports that you would expect to do or play indoors.
  • Make another list of 15-20 words about the gym, what you can do there and what materials you can find there.
