Welcome to the English Grammar Tenses- Present Perfect website!

In the following weeks, we will be learning everything about the present perfect tense.
On this website, you will get information about why and how we use this tense. After that, you get to practice with it on your own. At the end, when you have done everything to understand the present perfect fully, it is time to test it! Yes, every one of you will do the exam at the end (eindtoets).

Follow these steps:

  1. Read the goals at "Home" and come back.
  2. Watch the explanation video at "The Present perfect".
  3. Do the Padlet exercise at "Classroom wall".
  4. Do all of the practice exercises at "Practice".
  5. Do the "Practice test".
  6. Do you need more practice?

Yes > Go to "Extra" and practice more. After that, do the test at "The test".

No > Do the test at "The test".

The Present perfect

Below, you can find a Youtube video that explains everything about the Present perfect tense. Before you start doing the exercises, practice test, and the end test, you must watch this video. Even if you think that you know the subject well enough, watch it again. Why? By rereading the materials about the past perfect, your brain will store the information better. That is the first step. After that, you can stimulate the storing process by doing exercises and doing the practice test. Soon enough, you will see that the test is easy as pie!
