Task 2 - Answer the Questions
What purposes does the colour changing of the chameleon have?
Task 3 - two truths, one lie
Basis
Bijvoorbeeld - I always walk to school. I never eat peanuts because I am allergic. I sometimes forget to brush my teeth in the evening. Which one is false?

Bijvoorbeeld: 'Do you live far away from school?'.
Task 4 - giving short answers
In English it is polite to answer by giving short answers in stead of just answering with a simple yes or no. Even if the English are really mad, they still answer in a short sentence! Answer the following questions by using these short answers. Let op: antwoord in een korte zin die past in jouw situatie. Start altijd met Yes, ... of No, ....
1. Do you enjoy being outside?
2. Does your English teacher start their class on time?
3. Do you sometimes forget your homework?
4. Does De Nieuwste School listen to its students?
5. Can you work on paper during English class too?
6. Has Nina ever sent an email to your parents?
7. Are you going to go outside today?
8. Is Jolijn your mentor?

Wildlife in disguise: Animal camouflage Part 3
Survival is a difficult task in the wild – especially if you’re smaller or slower than everyone else. This is why many animals have found
different ways to camouflage themselves. Ways to camouflage depend on three factors: the behavior of the animal, the behavior of the predator and the environment, and how the animal lives and hunts. The animal kingdom is a wild, crazy place where animals have to be clever in order to survive. One of the most amazing techniques for survival is animal camouflage. The following is a list of some animals that are gifted in the art of invisibility.
Polar Bears
Other bears and human poachers are the biggest threats to the polar bear, but by blending into the white snow of the Arctic with white fur coats, some danger can be avoided. Only a polar bear's nose and foot pads are without fur.
Ornate Wobbegongs
If you're ever swimming in the shallow waters of Australia, look for the ornate wobbegong -- though you probably won't be able to see it! This shark's body flattens out on the seafloor where its spots and lines resemble rock and coral. Wobbegongs take camouflage a step further with a little "beard" under their chins that looks like seaweed.
Gaboon Vipers
In order to hide from their prey, these snakes make the most of their brown-gray scales. These big snakes hide between dead leaves in the African rain forest.
Leaf Butterflies
Complete with fake leaf stalk, fake leaf veins, and perfect dead-leaf colouring, they are perfectly camouflaged. Birds
pass them by without looking at them since these insects from southeast Asia look more like dead leaves than butterflies
Dragon Lizards
Spiders, snakes, birds, and even other lizards all want a piece of the dragon lizard, so they have some of the most effective camouflage around. Not only do dragon lizards look nearly invisible when hanging out on a tree branch, they keep extremely still. They know that their predators react to the smallest movements. It isn’t much of an exciting life, but at least they live to tell about it!
Flower Mantises
Careful-- that flower you're thinking about smelling might have a flower mantis hiding inside. The flower mantis of western Africa uses colourful camouflage to trick smaller insects into smelling the roses, then snap -- lunch is served.
Surprisingly, sometimes the best way to camouflage is to stick with the herd: for example, when a lion sees a bunch of zebras, it only sees a big striped mass. Some fish that are covered in bright vertical stripes might be clearly visible when they swim alone, but in a larger group, a predator will see a colored blob.

Task 6 - Websearch I
Animals need to adapt to their environment for numerous reasons. For example, the climate, or the type of food that can be found. Give two reasons why animals needed to adapt. Use the Present Simple to state your answer. You can use the internet to look up information.
