Questions in English will be answered in English. Questions in Dutch can be answered in English and Dutch.
Almost everyone is involved in some form of sport. Most people play football, hockey or basketball, many people do gymnastics or martial arts (karate, judo, krav maga etc.). There are also people who think those ‘regular’ sports are boring and who look for something else. These people are always looking for their boundaries and they perform so-called ‘extreme sports’.

Task 1 - The Art of Movement
To describe what someone is doing at the moment/right now, we use the Present Continuous. For example: I am reading right now. You can find an explanation about and a video on the Present Continuous in the Basics pages. The rule is: am/is/are + werkwoord+-ing. Now make 5 sentences with the Present Continuous about what you are doing right now.
What kind of sport are the people in the photo doing? Make another sentence using the Present Continuous.

Extreme sports are very cool to look at and it is amazing when everything goes right. Unfortunately, not everything goes right all the time.
Have a look on YouTube or Google and look for extreme sports gone wrong so you can share them in class. Describe what goes wrong in the video/picture.
