Where people get news (1)

Where people get their news
is all around us. You get new pieces of information every day!

Before you move on to the listening exercise itself, make a word web about 'news'. For an example of a word web, look at the picture.
You will be working with a classmate.
Together you try to beat another team of two.

  1. Look for a teammate.
  2. Look for a competing team. Both teams work separately.
  3. Write down the word 'news' in the middle of a sheet of paper.
  4. Set a timer for two minutes.
  5. Start the time and start writing down words related to 'news'.
  6. Time's up! Compare word webs with the other team.
Cross off the words that other teams also have. Which words are left?
