The future of our food
Everyone likes food and loves to eat it! In countries in Europe and America people love to eat, and
they eat A LOT! In the Netherlands preparing food is becoming more and more popular, especially because of all the cooking shows you can watch. Many people now like cooking more than they used to like it, and they try out all different kinds of new recipes.
Can you write down the names of three cooking shows?
All over the world there are different countries, people, cultures and eating habits. We eat completely different food than Chinese or Brazilian people. We are all crazy about our typical Dutch potato but in most parts of Asia people prefer rice over the potato any day!

Because people are eating so much meat, and there are so many people on the world, we are going to have a problem if we want to feed everyone on earth. Some people think that a solution to this problem is to eat insects. They are very cheap and easy to grow. It costs 22.000 litres of water to grow 1 kilogram of beef (really!!) and it only costs 1 litre of water to grow 1 kilogram of insects (amazing, isn't it?!).
