This webquest will take about three hours, but it depends of course on the pupils' ability to surf on the Internet, their level of understanding and on the number of groups.

- a lot about the Renaissance and the Elizabethan Age
- a lot about the theatres, actors, costumes and customs of these times
- the beginnings of Romeo and Juliet
- how Shakespeare and his works were influenced by his times
- new words related to the topic of literature
- to select and summarise the most relevant information on the topic
- to elaborate the material found on the Internet and create an interesting poster
- to prepare an oral speech and present it convincingly to the class
- to listen to a presentation
- to evaluate their classmates´work according to a given standard
- to work in small teams in order to achieve the given tasks
Tips
Be sure your pupils are all able to use the Internet properly.
Students need some big sheets of paper and glue to create their posters.
It could be a good idea to organise the oral presentations as a competition.
