GenAI is a collective term for AI systems that can create new content. Large Language Models (LLMs) refer to a specific type of GenAI. This type focuses on language processing. LLMs are trained on enormous amounts of text and can therefore generate, summarize, translate, or analyze sentences. The most well-known example is GPT-4 (OpenAI). In short: LLMs are the engine behind many GenAI applications.
