In our class session, we will discuss your Home Assignments and watch a summary of the coronation of King Charles III which took place a few weeks ago on May 6th.
Then you can choose from three assignments:
Choice 1 - for royalty fans
Study the CBBC Newsround's round-up of coronation news here and use the Hello Magazine souvenir edition to get an idea of what went on on Coronation Day.
Write a blog article fit for a school paper about what you found most interesting about the coronation.
Choice 2 - for geneaology geeks
Remember the family tree from the preparation assignment? Now it's your turn to make your own family tree! Obviously, you'll use the English words you've learned, and you'll make sure it's interesting and pleasing to look at. Browse Google Images for inspiration or use your own imagination.
Choice 3 - for majestic know-it-alls
Imagine you were the next King or Queen. What would you do? What would your coronation outfit look like? What promises would you make in your oath?
Draw a self-portrait of you on your coronation day and write an oath in which you tell your people what kind of king/queen you will be to them.
