6.4 Duplicate references

If you import references from multiple databases into EndNote, you may find duplicate references in your library. You can detect these duplicate references in EndNote and remove them.

  1. Click on Library.
  2. Select 'Find duplicates'
  3. EndNote now shows the duplicate references.
  4. In the pop-up window for duplicates, you can select the reference you want to keep by clicking 'Keep this record' above the reference. If you want to keep both references, click 'Skip'.
  5. When there are no more duplicate references, the pop-up window will close.
