Interviewer: So, you've applied for the IT support position, right?
David: Yes, I have. Interviewer: Can you tell me what made you reply to our advertisement in the paper? David: Well, I was looking for a job in IT and I think that I'd be really good at this kind of work because it is more or less the same as what I have been doing with other companies before. Interviewer: Do you know exactly what you would be doing as an IT support officer? David: Well, I imagine I would be helping clients with IT questions, on the phone and in person, and keeping a check on the supplies in the office. Interviewer: That about covers it, you would also be responsible for dealing with the incoming and outgoing post. What sort of worker do you regard yourself as? David: I suppose I'm an honest and hardworking worker. I’ve never had problems with bosses, colleagues or clients before. Interviewer: Now, do you have any questions you'd like to ask me about the position? David: Yes. Could you tell me what hours I would have to work? Interviewer: We open at 9.00, but you would be expected to arrive at 8.30 and we close at 6.00 pm. You would be able to leave then. You might have to work a weekend now and then but you will be paid extra for that and you will get two days off during the week in return. Interviewer: I think I have asked you everything I wanted to. Thank you for coming along to the interview. David: Thank you. When will I know if I have been successful? Interviewer: We'll be making our decision next Monday, we'll give you a call. |
