My dream home
Vrij schrijven, een presentatie geven over een vertrouwd onderwerp
Make a poster
Work together with a classmate. Make a poster with a design of your future dream house. You are free to design your house the way you like it. Use your imagination; everything is possible.
Sources that may be of use when designing your future dream house are
'Grand designs' and ‘World's Most Extraordinary Homes’ (both to be found on YouTube).
The poster should include:
A floor plan of your dream house: ground floor, first floor, second floor (if your house has one) and garden. Names of the rooms should be written in them. You can use floorplanner.com to help you planning your space if you like.
Images of what the various rooms will look like (3 pieces of furniture for each room included).
You can use websites like www.designfurniture.com.au to look for pieces of furniture to 'glue' into your rooms.
The location of your future dream house.
Three main rules to be followed in your future dream house.
Present your dream house
You are going to present your poster to the class.
Tell your classmates:
What the house looks like inside and out
What the garden looks like
What is special about your dream house
The rules that have to be followed in your dream house.
Talk for at least 2 to 3 minutes.
Listening to a presentation
Listen carefully when your classmates give their presentations.
For each presentation, come up with at least one question to ask your classmates.
After the presentation two listeners get the chance to ask their question.
You have done a good job if you:
made a poster that included all the points from the exercise
gave a presentation of 2 to 3 minutes long that included all the points from the exercise
were able to answer the questions from your classmates.
