The steps
Step 1
Start with choosing one of the following cities:
Step 2
Read the article below of the city you chose. This will give you a bit of an idea on what kind of activities you can do in the chosen city.
New York: https://www.travelandleisure.com/travel-guide/new-york-city/things-to-do
London: https://www.travelandleisure.com/articles/london-most-overrated-things-to-do
Glasgow: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2017/08/31/travel/what-to-do-36-hours-in-glasgow-scotland.html
Dublin: https://www.nomadicmatt.com/travel-guides/ireland/dublin/
Toronto: https://travel.usnews.com/Toronto/Things_To_Do/
Step 3
Listen to the video of your chosen city and get useful insight for the final product.
New York: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUuHyXguUsg
London: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=45ETZ1xvHS0

Toronto: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7uY0Ab5HlZ0
Step 4
Create a fact file based on the vocab and grammar from the book that we discussed in the lessons. In the factfile you will put information about the chosen city in English sentences. You will add at least 10 facts about the city.
You can use this factfile to explain your final project during the Travel market.
Step 5
Choose 1 activity that is described in the article for your own city trip.
For the other remaining activity however, you cannot use the rest of the activities mentioned in the article. You will need to look one up yourselves on the internet.
Listen to the video again and write down 3 activities that are mentioned that you can do in your chosen city:
1. _________________________________________________________
2. _________________________________________________________
3. _________________________________________________________
Step 6
Write the project plan in which you tell us what choices you have made and why and after that start with making the final product:
What do you want to see during your city trip? Choose from creating a flyer, presentation, collage or video that contains these things:
IMPORTANT!:
What must be handed in before the second lesson:
You will present your flyer / presentation, collage or video during the Travel Market in lesson 3.
Step 7
Now you present the final product on the Travel Market. You can share the groups in two during the market so that you can walk across the market and see the other products as well. Halfway through the lesson, the groups will be turned around so everyone has the chance to look around and explain their own project.
Be aware that you have to be able to answer questions about your project during the market so make sure you can explain the decisions that have been made and you need to convince the teacher and students why they should go on this trip as well.
Everything will be discussed in English during the market.
Step 8
Complete the evaluation below about the group project
