Summary: Recently, the documentary ‘What the health’ appeared on Netflix. It is a follow-up film by the makers of the award-winning documentary Cowspiracy. In the documentary, the filmmaker Kip Anderson is followed. The goal of this documentary is clearly to convince people to become a vegan lifestyle. Anderson often twists the facts to motivate people to leave meat. Only supporters of veganism speak. You see images of sick people, who appear in colourful nature after a change of vegan lifestyle.
In the documentary many facts are mentioned that are not correct. Like; eating an egg is the same as smoking 5 cigarettes, eating meat is on the same list of carcinogens as tobacco and you don't get diabetes from sugar, but from beef. For all these facts they give only weak evidence. In this documentary we also notice that almost only doctors speak, which is not entirely fair either.
My opinion: I did not really like this documentary. The story did not interest me very much. I sometimes found it funny how she told everything. You notice that not everything is serious and I liked that. They try to convince people seriously, but they do that in a strange way. It is not my favorite documentary because there is no tension in it. I love films and documentaries that are more exciting or have more action. I would not recommend looking at this documentary.
