Summary: 'My Sister's Keeper' is about a girl, Anna, who actually came into the world so that her sick sister has a regular donor. Anna stops doing that, and sues her mother, Sara. As a result, her sick sister, Kate, will probably die. But around the end of the film you find out, through many beautiful flashbacks, that Anna had to do this because Kate just wants to stop. Her sick sister's name is Kate. Kate actually thinks it's enough. She thinks she's had a beautiful life, full of love, and she thinks it's time to go. She really doesn't want her sister to sign up for her anymore, and have to give up her kidney. So Anna did this out of love for her sister, and so she hired a lawyer and sued her mother. Anna won the case, and Kate died. Probably the best solution for the family...
My opinion: This film is very emotional, I personally like that very much. There were quite a few scenes in the film where I shed a tear. While watching this film I could easily empathize with the main characters. The story isn't told chronologically because there are a lot of flashbacks in the film. That was sometimes confusing, but in the end everything became clear. In short, a very good and moving film!
