A visit to the farm
Pedro, Anna and Maria are visiting a farm outside Filton. When they arrive, the farmer's wife is just going into the hen house. They follow her.

Farmer's wife:

Hi, can I help you?

Pedro:

Hi, could we have a look around the farm, please?

Farmer's wife:

Of course! Just a minute, I'm just feeding the chickens and collecting the hens’ eggs. Then I can show you around.

Anna:

Oh, look, I see horses running in the fields! Are they yours? And do you have any foals?

Farmer's wife:

Yes, they are ours. We’ve got six in total. We don't have any foals yet though. But we do have a few lambs and quite a lot of calves.  Oh, and we’ve got six kids.

Anna:

Six! That’s a big family. I’ve only got one little brother.

Farmer’s wife:

Oh, no, I don’t mean kids as in children! We do have children, but they’re all grown up and living on their own. No, I mean baby goats!

Anna:

Oh, silly me! I’m sorry.

Farmer’s wife:

No need to apologise. Come on, let’s go to the other side of the farmyard.

Maria:

Oh, look, there are two dogs following us. I love dogs! Do you also have cats?

Farmer's wife:

Yes, we do. They are probably playing in the hay right now. Or looking for mice, that's their job. Look, there are the sheep. Do you see the lambs?

Maria:

Yes, they are so sweet! And look, is that a cat hiding behind the fence? How cute!

Farmer's wife:

Yes, that one is very shy. Don't try to pet her, she scratches sometimes. Do you want to go see the horses now? I think my husband is feeding them. Maybe you can help him.

Farmer:

Hi kids! Good to see you. Do you want to give the horses a treat?

Pedro:

Yes please! Are those carrots?

Farmer:

Yes, they love carrots. See? You are doing a great job! Why don't you come back and try horseback riding some day!

Pedro:

We’d love to, thanks! We’ll come back soon, we promise!

Now answer the questions.
