The book everything everything has 310 pages. The theme is to not back down even if it scares you, the story is told through the main character so it is the I perspective. The place where the story happened is somewhere in the US, it is not specifically told where in America, but in the middle of the story the characters are in Hawaii. The time it happens is now, or a one or two years ago. The book is published in 2015 and the edition of the book that i read was published in also 2015.

The book is about a teenage girl, Maddy who is sick. She has a disease called SCID, and because of that she cannot leave her house. Her life consist of her mother, Pauline and her nurse Carla. Her brother and father died when she was younger in a car crash. A family moves in next door. Maddy watches them move in and Olly catches her eye. The two begin to chat online through email and text. One day Carla sneaks Olly into Maddy’s house, they meet face to face for the first time. They did that for a few times and then Maddy even went outside for a few seconds. When her mother finds out, Carla is fired and Maddy isn’t allowed to talk to Olly anymore. Though they still keep talking secretly. Maddy decided that she wants to go to Hawaii with Olly. They go to Hawaii, the first day they explore the country, but the second day Maddy’s hart stopped and she had to go to the hospital. When she is home again, she is a bit depressive. And she finds out that maybe she isn’t even sick at all.

Maddy is eighteen and she is sick, she has never been outside since she was a baby.

Olly is also eighteen, he is adventures and sporty. He cares a lot about his family and Maddy.

Pauline is the mother of Maddy and is very protective over her daughter.

Carla is the nurse of Maddy, she is a very good friend of Maddy and Pauline.

I really liked the book, ever since the movie came out I wanted to see it so that’s why I chose it. The story is very original and touching. I really liked the characters, I like how different they were but still got along fine. The ending was not so great, it was an open ending and it didn’t fit with the rest of the writing. The ending was not in detail but the rest was very detailed, also I felt like the ending was shortened. It is definitely one of my favourite books, I definitely recommend it to others, it is really worth reading.
