Present perfect tense

When do we use the “present perfect” and what is its function?

How do we form  “the present perfect” sentences?

positive Form:

Subject + have/has + past participle......

I have eaten Mexican food before.

They have taken a lot of trips to Asia.

He has been to Australia.

Negative form:

Subject + haven't/hasn't + past participle.......

I haven't eaten Mexican food before

They haven't taken a lot trips to Asia

He has been to Australia.

We also use the word "never' to make a negative form of the present perfect:

I've never been to Mexico.

He has never finished an Engish assignment.

Question form of the present perfect tense:

have/has + subject + (ever) + past partciple....

Have you ever eaten Mexican food?

we sometime use signal word like just, already, since etc. in present perfect sentences.
