Drillster has an option to add hotspot images. These are images in which the user needs to click the right area. Drillster will count the answer correct when the right area has been clicked.
To add hotspot images you need to take two steps:
The image must first be added and the areas must be selected.
Click "Show advanced options"
Under 'Hot spot images' you can click "Add" and select the right image.
When you have added the image this will appear next to the "Add"-button.
Click the added image.
A new window appears in which you can select the areas.
To select a new area you click the starting point in the screen.
From here you select every next point in the area. Drillster sets straight lines between points by default. For a squared area you only need to select the corners. For an area with several angles (like Limburg in the example) you need to follow the entire perimeter of the image.
When all points have been selected, click the last point while holding "shift".
At the bottom of the page you can adjust the name of the selected area.
When the hotspot image has been added, it can be entered into the columns as an answer.
Click the "+"-sign and select "Hotspot".
Then select the area by clicking on it.
Drillster has now added the Hotspot image.
To set multiple correct answers for the hotspot image, multiple areas should be selected when adding the hotspot image as an answer.
Click the “+” sign and select “Hotspot”
Then select the areas by clicking on it.
Drillster has now added the Hotspot image.
Change the ‘Answer style’ to “answer set sought”
Pay attention: To save the changes made in a drill, a drill has to be released first. This can be done by clicking “Release this version” on top of the page. Once a drill version is released, the changes that are made can be seen by practicing the drill. Furthermore, you can publish it in the drill store, forward it to other users, define tests for it *, add it to groups* and more. *(if your account allows you to)
