1. Inleiding

3 months to go before you are going to the most fantastic city of the world: LONDON!

For you it is the first time you will go on a 5-day study trip with your class and teachers.

The knowledge and experience you will acquire, will have a pleasant memory in your life.

Of course a lot has to be arranged. Think for example of: how are you going, accommodation, what sights are you going to visit...etc..

Guess what...You are going to help to organise and you are going to make a selection of your activities and the sights your are going to visit...

2. Taak

Arranging a trip to London requires several skills and a creative mind! Examples of things you need to think of:

  • How are you going
  • Where are you going to stay
  • Which sights are you going to visit
  • Which museums are worth visiting
  • Etc.

Your task is to organise a school trip in groups of four. As a group you are free to choose, how you are going to London, where you are going to stay, what sights you are going to visit, etc. To complete your assignment you work through a couple of subtasks. You will present your plans in class, making use of a PowerPoint presentation. The class will decide which is the best plan.

You can choose to work as group together and do all the 4 tasks together or you can give everyone 1 task which he/she has to complete.

You can go to www.google.nl and type museums London. Here’s one website which may come in handy.

And of course; there are loads of other interesting websites with information about all museums London has to offer!

5. Beoordeling

You are going to be assessed on the following:

#1: Your contribution to the group and your contribution to the assignment(s)/presentation

#2: Your file which has to contain:

Your file has to be like all other files you have already made; your file should consist of a front page including your name, class, date, teacher, etc.

Your file needs to have a table of contents. If you don’t have a table of contents, I won’t check your file.

Contents:

- A logbook in which you state what you did, when you did it, with whom you did it etc.

- All your assignments elaborately worked out ( Task #1- Task #2- Task #3- Task #4)

- Sources you have used

- Conclusion

- Course evaluation + worked out opinion and your opinion about the webquest, cooperation in the group and your presentation and contribution

- PowerPoint presentation?

6. Terugblik

You now experienced the hard work of a planner. Did you like it? As you may have experienced there are a lot of things you need to take into account if you are going to plan something.

Would you do things differently next time or not? Would you like to work again with the same group or would you choose for other pupils to work with instead of this group?

Are there things that need a change to make the webquest more fun or more easy/difficult?

And of course what have you learned about making this webquest?
